Warning....this is a long post with a lot of pictures....
In July Kevin and I had a great date, one of our "crush" dates I gave to Kevin for our anniversary.
We had dinner at a great restaurant we had never been to. I had steak and salmon, Kevin had steak and all you can eat snow crab legs. He was in heaven. He moaned with gratification as he would eat. It was great.
Next we went up to Sundance and rode on the chair lift. It was a full moon night and it took about 45 minutes round trip. By the time we got back it was dark.
We had a great time together.
Scout camp was a lot of fun for Zach. Here he is swamping his canoe with his best friend. The boys were hilarious. I was able to go and visit them and so I got to see this whole scene take place.
Zach had a lot of fun doing the leather working merit badge. In all he completed 5 merit badges!!
As was posted before, the camp was evacuated on friday because of the fire on our mountain.
Kevin and Zach got back on Friday, on Sunday morning we headed to San Diego!!!
This is just after we all got off of Journey to Atlantis at Sea World.
It is totally different from the one in Orlando!!!!
Grandma bought fish for the kids to feed to the dolphins. They have done this since we lived in Florida and Grandma would come to visit us there.
We were able to meet up with the Blattman's. I babysat their kids at the beginning of this year. It was so fun to see the kids interact with each other. We had so much fun. We did Sea World with them 2 days, the beach and we had a barbecue at their condo.
We signed up for lunch with Shamu. We were so close to the pool. The food was great (in my opinion, but I love seafood). The information session was great, we learned lots of facts about killer whales. It was a once in a lifetime adventure!!

The gang.....it is always great to have my parents join us for our vacations!!! Great memories are made together!!!
The dolphin show is always a great one to go to. We did them all, some a couple of times. We loved the night shows the best!
Look close and you will see Kevin and the kids in the middle of the picture. They are in the "splash zone!" I opted not to go there, I was the photographer above!
The Shamu show is always a great one, the huge whales throw their bodies all over.....
Oh and this would be when the whales splash the audience.....that would be when Kevin and the kids got SOAKED!!
The kids down by the area where you can watch some of the whales. We saw these two get a bird and bring it down and toy with it.......
On Tuesday we headed to the USS Midway. This is an aircraft carrier that is now a museum. Kevin is the one who wanted to do this. It was so interesting and we all had a great time. We could have stayed longer (we were there for 2ish hours), but the kids got hungry and it was time to feed them.

This is not the captains wheel, it is in the engine room where the steam and stuff like that are controlled for the ship.

there were so many different airplanes and helicopters to see. We listened to a lecture on how the planes land and another on how they are catapulted off.

We took a walk to the seaport village where we ate lunch.
I wanted a picture of the boats in the background. Some of them looked like the ones that are on Deadliest Catch.
What a treat we had Tuesday night. Our first broadway show!

None of us knew any better though. The show was great, everyone paid attention. Since the kids know the music and the story it was easy for everyone to follow along.
We headed to Del Mar beach on Thursday. Before that we said good bye to my parents as they headed back home before they began the rest of their vacation.

I could not believe the waves. The were so big for the area we were in.
There were a couple of times I got plummeted. One time I was reaching down for a shell and a wave came in the knocked me in the face and my sunglasses went flying. Kevin found them washed up on the shore!
After our fun time together on the beach with the Blattman's, we went for a barbecue at their house that night.

The kids are going to miss each other. It was sure fun spending time with our friends.
On the way home we stopped in St George and went to Tuacahn, an outdoor amphitheater. We saw Sound of Music. It was so good. Our seats were great. We were in the lowest ticket price and we could still see everything!!

We had a great time at camp. I know I complained about having to go, but I really did have a great time. I was in the stake pavilion doing the food and I would go and eat with our ward when it was ward meal time......
It was a great week with my girls.
So that catches everyone up on our last month. We have been busy yet we have had a great summer!!!!!
Tomorrow school starts. The kids think I am going to be bored.......that is so not true because I have a house to revamp and reclaim when they are at school!!!
