Where does the time go??

Can't believe it has been a month since I have updated my family!!!
Thanksgiving was great with my parents and siblings!! Happy Retirement, Dad!!!! Lots of years on the rails driving those many trains!!! What a great example you are to our family being the hard worker you are....43.5 years...WOW!!!
We have attended concerts...that great time of the year.....Audrey and her violin playing and Emily and her recorder (love 4th grade...I think we now have 4 recorders within the walls of our home!)
We painted the TV room.....I brought home paint chips for the kids to pick out the color(s) they wanted......french grey with a light brown and an even lighter tan. Looks really good.....Kevin, Kassidy and I did it just in time for our friend Christmas party! Kevin and I were in a store and I saw a BYU banner.....funny thing....colors looked the same as our TV room....Guess we love the cougars....and Kevin's job!!!
Kassidy is home for the holidays...great having her around with us.... the kids are playing the wii and making memories together!!!!
We had 40 people over last night for a party....bingo, right left game, and the tradition white elephant gift game....lots of fun!!
Audrey and Zach sang a duet in church together....did fabulous!!!!!
We are looking forward to our holiday season....we love this time of the year....

Gratitude this Thanksgiving season!!

Family...that is first on my list, no matter how crazy they are!!!

Blankets, blankets, blankets!!!!

The time has arrived to deliver Zach's Eagle project to the hospital.....
Total of 101 blankets, 56 onesies, 30 pairs of baby socks and 20 stuffed animals!!!
Many hours (don't have that totaled yet) went into this project. Our local hospital will be receiving these tomorrow!!!! Way to go Zach!!!!!

Bryce Canyon...

We headed down south for a day trip to Bryce Canyon......oh it was beautiful!
We had such a great time.....over a 7 mile hike according to the GPS. Up and down and all around, literally!!


The site was breathtaking!!!

I've got a crush on you!

Kevin and I had our "Crush" date with the Strebels.
We went up the Mona Pole trail on 4-wheelers and had a great time!!

What a fun day we had!!

It's official.....he's a Life!

Do to the fact that we were out of town on the last court on honor....



Zach was awarded his rank advancement to a life scout last weekend!!

What does that mean????? Well, it's time for the eagle project! Zach got his project approved so fast!!
In August Zach and I went to the local hospital (where he stayed when he was diagnosed with diabetes). He asked the head volunteer at the hospital if they were in need of anything.
So here goes his project....he had to submit this for preliminary approval....
In his own words...

The Hospital Project

Payson City’s Hospital, Mountain View, is facing a problem. They’re running out of
blankets, pajamas, and stuffed animals. These things are needed by the many mothers who give
birth here for their newborn babies. No matter how many donations are given, there is never
enough for all of the babies. Many of the mothers come and leave with nothing. And some older
children in the hospital need blankets and stuffed animals The goal for my eagle project is to
provide Mountain View Hospital with sleepers and blankets for newborns and stuffed animals
and blankets for older children
On August 27th, 2009 I went to Mountain View Hospital and asked who I needed to talk
to for organizing a project like this. I talked to Judy Stanton. She told me they were in need of
single fleece blankets, new sleepers, and new stuffed animals.
The plan is to get the word out for my project throughout the stake via ward bulletins and
flyer for my eagle project. I intend on organizing my scout troop (and anyone else who wants to
help) and having them each take different routes around the stake until everyone is aware of the
project.
The flyer will describe what is needed (fleece, sleepers, and stuffed animals), how to
contact me and tell me they are donating, and by when I would like the materials.
After all I have all of the blankets made and the sleepers and stuffed animals donated, all
of the materials will be donated to the Hospital. My goal is to have around one hundred blankets
or more. If my project is approved, Mountain View Hospital will be in a much better condition.
The newborn babies will leave the hospital with their blankets and sleepers and the children will
leave with stuffed animals and blankets. I know that this project will benefit people in my
community.

Zach is now collecting flannel, 45x45 inch, fleece that is 60x60 inch, newborn sleepers, and stuffed animals......

Audrey worked the Scentsy booth at the onion days, she earned a lot of money for her little business....doesn't she look so cute!!




Kevin and Zach tackled the back steps! They torn them out, and built all new ones!!! It took a few days, but they look so good!!
I am sure thankful Kevin takes the time to teach Zach how to use tools and how to build things!










Emily and Jo helped out also!!




When my parents came to town my dad repainted the rails and then helped Kevin install them...

Audrey had 80's day at the high school.....funny how it's my era... She loves my letter jacket!! Too bad it isn't her school colors!!



We got Zach's room all painted....down came the animal posters!! This color is "Eagles peak" and he also has one red wall......Looks like a teenage boys room now!!




We were able to go to the circus in Salt lake in September. My parents came along as well my my nephew, Ezra who we were watching. Poor little Ellie had a babysitter!
As we were walking to the circus, here came the elephants!



The highlight for the kids were the elephants and tigers!!



So as you can see we really did have a busy September......thing is our October is just as busy and filled with activities!!!
