Saturday is our "Walk to Cure Diabetes". I know I have not been on the ball to let everyone know about it, however, those who read my blog now know!!!
We have a new name. Although not creative AT ALL, we are now known as Zach and Tyler's Marchers. Zach's friend down the street got diabetes 2 months ago. They have known each other since kindergarten when Zach got diabetes. Tyler comes to our house every morning to walk to school with us so some of you many have seen him here before on one of your visits.
Anyhow, so far these two boys have collected $382 just around our neighborhood and they are going out again tonight. They are really funny, and sometimes not so professional, when asking for donations for the walk.
It really is a fun time we have. There are carnival/party games the kids get to do after the walk, as well as a rock climbing wall (if they bring it). My mom is coming this year again and will probably get her hair spray painted with the kids. There are hot dogs for lunch as well.

If anyone wants to join us, it is at Scera Park in Orem. Registration is until 9:30 am then the 5Kwalk begins!!

sounds like a great time except the walk... or shall i say waddle??
I just read this was yesterday, how did it go, that is so great that Zach's friend has a diabetes buddy, that should help on getting used to things.
