Happy 18th Birthday, Kassidy. We went up to her dorms and talked and had some yummy ice cream. I was in a frazzled hurry to get this rag quilt made for her.....2 days and it was finished!

We went up to Payson Lakes with our friends.....love canoeing!

Zach and Damaris found this log and they just had to conquer and ride!

Audrey and I give Damaris a lift back to shore!!

Kassidy moved home for 12 days during the middle of the month, it was great having her home for her break!
We had a neighborhood block party! Great fun and great food!! Our street was blocked off and the kids (and parents) had a good time visiting and eating!

The street had 4 square, volleyball, hopscotch, a table for checkers etc...

And the food.....yep, Kevin always goes over to the grill to flip the burgers!

Best friends, Emily and Jolene

Audrey filling her plate up!

Emily hopscotching with her friends!

The ward rented a big slip and slide down the hill at a local school turned museum!

Can you tell by the looks on their faces that they loved the 2 hours of slipping and sliding!!

First day of school!! 8th grade here he comes!!
.Quite the group of friends walk to the Jr High everyday!

High School here she comes!!! First day of 10th grade... Cute outfit Audrey, it is so you!!

4th graders, Emily and Jolene!!

Next we headed to Idaho for a missionary farewell for our nephew, Jared.
Audrey, Emily and Audrey's friend, Zach.....floating down the canal!!

Zach....the water is so cold!!

Kassidy with cousins!!!

And finally to finish the month out....Kevin and Zach had an overnight pack in for his camping merit badge!!! They hiked up hill gaining a couple thousand feet and at times just a bodies width of trail on the side of the mountain......They finally found a spot to sleep!! Glad the bears didn't find them......although the elk and deer did!!
Love my family and the fun month of August we had!!!
